From Monday 27th of February until Friday 3rd of March the ETB sector will be celebrating ten years since its establishment. On Thursday 2nd of March Principal Mr. Iain Wickham made a brief announcement over the intercom to the school community, the contents of which were as follows:

Today and all this week in Enniscorthy Community College, we are celebrating our ethos. There are 16 Education and Training Boards across the Republic of Ireland which are the patrons of Community National Schools, Community Special Schools, Community Hospital Schools and Community Colleges.
We in Enniscorthy Community College are part of Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board. We are a state, co-educational and multi-denominational school.
In ETB schools, all students are given equal opportunities to engage with the curriculum and school life.
Our schools strive to enable every student to realise their full potential regardless of any aspect of their identity or background. Our school provides a safe physical and social environment to all members of the school community that reinforces their sense of identity and belonging to the school community and wider society.

Today/this week, ETB schools across the country are celebrating these core values and ETB education provision for children, young people and adults in communities all across Ireland. There will be a small treat for all students in the canteen today at 1:15 as part of our Ethos Celebrations.
For the remainder of this class there are scheduled activities that will take place with First Years right up to Fifth Years.
On Friday there was a staff appreciation day where staff received a small treat for the ongoing excellent work that they do on a daily basis.
