90 First year students started their secondary education at Enniscorthy Community College on Tuesday 27th of August. Following the assembly the students went on to meet their Year Head Mr. O'Hara and their Class Tutors Ms. O'Byrne, Ms. Cashman, Mr. Finn and Mr. Kidd and were given an extensive tour of the school. In the afternoon the students signed up for the different clubs that make up the Induction Programme which took place during the remainder of the week. Some of the activities included Music and Drama, horseriding, pitch and putt, board games and gaelic games. The week finished with a very enjoyable sports day. It was great to see many students making new friends and confidently settling into their new environment. A special thanks to Mr. O'Hara and all staff that assisted in ensuring an enjoyable first week and students are now ready for timetabled classes on Monday.
