A number of students received awards for their attendance during the month of November as part of the Anseo initiative which aims to promote regular school attendance. Students with excellent attendance for the month of November were entered into a draw and the two students that were selected were Willow Mc Entee from Junior Cycle and Cathal O'Brien from Senior Cycle. The prize for both students were a top of the range laptop with the associated equipment. Gift vouchers were also given to students who had made the biggest improvement in their attendance during the month, the winners at Junior Cycle were: Tegan Angulin Quinn (1 Birch), Antony Jeywin Antony (2 Pine) and Thalles Farias (3 Holly). The winners at Senior Cycle were: Mia Cosgrave (TY), Julia Kilian Pilarek (5B), Diana Ustymenko (6A) and Anna Byrne (6LA).
The School Attendance team are planning more prizes in the new year so it is important that if students want to be in with a chance of winning that they have excellent attendance. There will be a class prize for the class with the best overall attendance and the prize will be a trip to Emerald Park in May with their Class Tutor and Year Head. A special thanks to Ms. Paula Busher from the School Completion Programme for funding the trip to Emerald Park.
