On Friday 13th February a draw took place for those students with over 95% attendance since Christmas. The two lucky winners were Ciaran Treacy from Senior Cycle and Jagmur Keklik from Junior Cycle. Both students received a top of the range laptop for their excellent attendance. There were also Eason vouchers given to students with the most improved attendance as these were as follows: Senior Cycle - Alex Costen, Anasthasia Kozyrska, Jewel Vijay Raj and Junior Cycle - Emanuela Caldaras, Mary Connors, Kristofers Bezrukovs and Leja Covic.
When students return after their February break all classes will receive an update on how they are doing in relation to their Attendance rate as there will be a trip to Emerald Park after Easter for the class with the best overall attendance. The attendance drive will continue for the remainder of the year with the focus on all students attending all their classes daily. A special thanks to the School Attendance team who have been working behind the scenes devising startegies/initiatives in an attempt to further improve school attendance. The team is made up of Iain Wickham, Aileen Walsh, David Lawton, Jessica Doyle, Helen O'Brien, Jennifer King, Paula Busher and Ciaran Ruth.
