This year's annual Career Event at Enniscorthy Community College was highly successful. We welcomed representatives from a wide range of organisations from across the country. These organisations included: SETU Carlow & Waterford, NUI Maynooth, Teagasc Kildalton College, ECC Further Education, National Hairdressing Apprenticeship, EmployAbility Wexford, Irish Defence Forces, Garda Siochana, WWETB Apprenticeships, The Village at Wheelocks Manager, Jimmy Schoeb (Head Chef at Wheelocks) Bauer Media Group, Dublin Business School, Hentech Fabrication. This event welcomed students from second to sixth year, as well as our Post Leaving Certificate Students. Attendees had the chance to interact with professionals from diverse sectors, gaining insights into various career paths. Furthermore, they explored educational pathways, including subject selections and further study opportunities, to support their pursuit of desired career objectives.
The experience proved invaluable for our students at Enniscorthy Community College. Our objective was to inspire them, encourage informed decisions about their future, and foster the courage to dream big and set ambitious goals. A special thanks to the Guidance Department of Ms. Jean Byrne and Mr. Warren Wheelock for organising the event.
