During the week the school received a Cineáltas flag and a Cineáltas poster from the Department of Education. The flag acknowledges the good work that the school is doing and will do to prevent and address bullying and to promote kindness, respect, inclusion, diversity and wellbeing. It is the hope of Norma Foley TD that the Cineáltas flag will serve as a visible national symbol of our shared to be kind and to work together to prevent and address bullying. The flag will be on display in the school during the anti-bullying week, 13-17 November 2023.
As part of the implementation of Cineáltas, the Department of Education will be publishing updated Bí Cineáltas procedures for schools to prevent and address bullying in the coming months with training being made available for all school staff, parents and board of managment members.
