Ethos Awareness Week
28th March -1st April 2022
This week Enniscorthy Community College celebrated Ethos Awareness Week. This was a fun filled week where students learned about Ethos and the Core Values of the ETBI. The school Ethos team created a lesson plan that was taught to every student in our school.
This PowerPoint lesson focused on:
- What an ETB is?
- What are the core values of our ETB?
- What does Ethos mean?
- Why is Ethos important for ETBs?
To create a focal point to this week the Ethos team set up an ethos awareness stand in the centre of the school and each day concentrated on one of the following core values of:
- Care
- Respect
- Equality
- Excellence in education
- Community
The Ethos stand was a bustle all week with students entering competitions, getting free treats, and receiving study guides to support their educational goals. On Friday we celebrated the Core Value of “Community” with afternoon tea for members of our Parents Association, Board of Management, Staff, Students, and special guest WWETB Ethos Coordinator Kieran Kinsella who is also a past pupil of Enniscorthy Community College. For those who could not attend the events of the week a log of these activities were posted on the school social media pages and the response from the public was very positive.
