The Junior Certificate Schools Programme (JCSP) end of year celebration took place on Thursday 16th of May . JCSP Coordinator Mr. Keith O'Hara welcomed students, parents/guardians and staff to the event and congratulated students on their achievements to date and wished them the very best in the upcoming Junior Cycle examinations which start on Wednesday 5th of June. He also thanked management, teachers and the SNAs that all work together to ensure that there are successful outcomes for all students involved in the programme and he also highlighted the wide range of initiatives that took place throughout the year in several subject areas. Former student Aoife Nolan was the special guest on the night and Aoife is in the final stages of her teacher training,
All students received certificates on the night with two students also getting individual awards. Katie Kearns was the most improved JCSP student while Kaius Macklin was the JCSP student of the year. The event finished off with some light refreshments and there was also time for plenty of photos to be taken.
