On Thursday 5th May at the Museum of Literature (MOLI) in Dublin, Enniscorthy Community College was represented by students Evan Corrigan and Scott Kelly at the celebration of a fantastic collaborative project.
A special poem was written by students across Ireland, along with the Department of English in UCD. It is a poem to celebrate Ireland's first satellite, EIRSAT-1, designed and built by engineers and physicists from UCD. The finished poem, along with the students' names has been laser printed onto the satellite and will be launched into space later this year!! Along the way students took part in writing workshops (facilitated by MOLI and the JCSP School Library Project) and learned about space exploration technology thanks to the Department of Physics in UCD.
