The Transition Year Graduation ceremony took place on Wednesday 22nd of May in the school and was well attended by students, staff and parents and guardians. School Principal Mr. Iain Wickham. Transition Year Coordinator Mr. Luke Maher and Class Tutor Ms. Natalie Doyle spoke on the night, The students were commended on how much they have learned in the year and how much they have matured. Through work experience, involvement in the local community and working on different projects they have gained a deeper understanding of the real world. The many highlights during the year were illustrated in the powerpoint which included the Variety Show, Junk Kouture, trips to Killary and Glendalough as well as a wide variety of educational trips. School management was thanked along, with the Transition Year team lead by Mr. Maher, all staff that assisted with the programme, parents/guardians for their ongoing support and the wider community for providing students with work placements. Music on the night was provided by three Transition year students Ric Jones, Andrew Kehoe and Jack Redmond. A number of awards were given out on the night and the award winners are below:
