Transition Year Trip to Killary

Transition Year Trip to Killary

From Tuesday the 18th to Friday the 21st of October twenty students from the Transition Year class of 22-23 travelled to Killary Adventure Centre in Galway. Students engaged in a wide variety of activities including Kayaking, Gourge walking, High ropes, Turf challenge, Combat archery, Giant swing and the Climbing Tower. There were Morning, Afternoon and Evening activities on each day ensuring that students and staff expended plenty of energy during the day and had little difficulty sleeping at night. The students were excellent in their participation and behaviour and were complemented on several occasions by the staff in the Centre. A special thanks to Transition Year Coordinator Mr. Luke Maher who organised the excellent trip and also Ms. Natalie Doyle and Ms. Sharon Murphy who provided assistance to students during the trip. The travelling party returned to Enniscorthy at 7 pm on Friday after further enhancing key skills like teamwork, communication and organisation. They all showed remarkable resilience and determination in completing some of the activities.

Thanks to all involved for a fantastic experience and memory for the Transition Year class of 22-23.
