Students from Transition Year visited BD Enniscorthy today, and met many of the personnel involved in the production of the lifesaving devices manufactured in the plant. The team at BD design, develop and manufacture minimally invasive medical devices associated with peripheral artery disease, diabetes, surgical procedures, and oncology. Students also had an opportunity to see how some of these devices are inserted into the body, expertly demonstrated by Mr. Niall Byrne, Manufacturing Manager. Sincere thanks to Mr. Byrne, who facilitated and oversaw the entire visit and to Ms. O'Byrne who accompanied the students on their educational visit.
