Wear Red Day

Wear Red Day

Wear Red Day took place in ECC on Thursday 21st of March. Members of the School of Sanctuary student committee were busy giving out red ribbons to all members of the school community throughout the day. This day is an opportunity for schools and communities to show that they are united against racism by wearing red and participating in appropriate activities. This will help to equip young people to take a positive stand against racism. This is another initiative the school has been involved in this year in our journey to becoming a Champion School of Sanctuary.

In the picture are Linda Kavanagh, Lucy Williams, Shakira Waters, Bradley Mashamba, Ciaran Treacy and teacher Ms. Siun Cashman. The students are holding up sheets with the message "Give Racism the Red Card".
